The session will cover my recent journey of successfully implementing SAP Group Reporting in Absa Group. Absa’s Consolidation process was a hybrid of in-house automation in SQL and a manual journal process. My journey will cover the highs and lows of trying to navigate through the project delivery and managing my BAU concurrently. My session will cover challenges experienced in configuration of Data Monitor and Consolidation Monitor, benefit of parallel runs and of sticking to SAP Standard configuration, reasons for not using ICMR as yet and how I bridged the gap between the technical and finance teams. I will also cover lessons learnt, the audit journey after implementation and the benefits of SAP Group Reporting post go live on our processes.
